Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.58% — moderately similar

The Electro-Harmonix Blurst is a modulated filter pedal that sweeps a lowpass filter using an internal low frequency oscillator rather than playing dynamics, creating rhythmic, auto wah style movement that pulses on its own. A Rate knob sets the sweep speed, a Shape toggle selects back and forth, upward or downward filter motion, and a tap tempo footswitch syncs the LFO to the beat, with further controls to tweak resonance and range. From subtle rhythmic wah to dramatic, synth like filter sweeps, it turns guitar or bass into new textures. It suits funk, electronic, experimental and ambient players who want hands free, tempo synced filter modulation and quirky, evolving sonic landscapes.
The Electro-Harmonix Blurst! is a modulated filter pedal from Electro-Harmonix, applying auto-wah-style filter modulation to the guitar signal with a modulation LFO that sweeps the filter rather than envelope-tracking from picking dynamics. Controls include Rate, Depth, and Filter Type for LFO-controlled automatic filter sweep. The Blurst delivers automatic filter modulation without requiring hard picking for the filter to respond.
