Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.34% — somewhat different

The Electro-Harmonix Nano Operation Overlord is a nano sized version of the Operation Overlord allied overdrive, delivering the same amp like overdrive and distortion tones in mono. It uses three amp style JFET gain stages and switches between Normal mode, for low to medium gain amp like drive, and Boost mode, which adds a pedal type overdrive circuit in front of the JFET stages for much higher gain and saturation. A dry blend control, invaluable for bass and keys, a three position input level switch and an active three band EQ make it highly flexible. It suits rock, hard rock and metal players who want versatile, amp like overdrive into full distortion with strong EQ control in a compact pedal.
The Vertex Steel String Supreme SRV (Slight Return Edition) is a variant of Vertex's Steel String Supreme preamp/overdrive, itself based on serial number 001 of a Dumble Steel String Singer amplifier, with an EQ voiced toward a bigger low-end snap and brighter top-end chime associated with Stevie Ray Vaughan's playing. Active EQ plus Bright/Deep and Rock/Jazz switches add tone-shaping range beyond the standard Steel String Supreme. It covers everything from subtle clean fattening and compression to full overdrive, works equally into a tube amp or direct into a cab-sim/IR loader, and uses true bypass switching in a rugged steel housing. The black-and-white colorway and vintage chicken-head knobs echo SRV's actual Dumble amplifier.
