Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.43% — somewhat different

The Electro-Harmonix Andy Summers Walking on the Moon is an analog flanger and filter matrix pedal based on the vintage Deluxe Electric Mistress circuit, developed in collaboration with Andy Summers of The Police. It reproduces the lush, chorus-like flanging heard on Police recordings including Walking on the Moon and Message in a Bottle, where Summers used the original Electric Mistress. Controls are Rate, Range, and Color, plus a Filter Matrix switch that freezes the LFO and holds the flanger at a fixed comb-filter position. True bypass.
The Walrus Audio Polychrome is an analog flanger from Walrus Audio (Oklahoma City, USA), featuring a D-F-V (Dry, Flange, Vibrato) blend knob alongside Rate, Feedback, and Depth controls for warm, mellow analog flanging from subtle shimmer to deep jet-flanger and vibrato.
