Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.34% — somewhat different

The Electronic Audio Experiments Limelight is a dual-channel overdrive pedal developed in collaboration with the LA punk band Touche Amore, starting from a Bluesbreaker-inspired circuit reworked with mods borrowed from Marshall's classic Bluesbreaker and Shredmaster designs, where one pot changes the gain of two cascaded stages together, blended with a Tube-Screamer-influenced voicing for a unique combination of aggression and chime. Independent boost and drive circuits, up to 21dB of clean boost, and a Focus toggle for low-end cut give real range, all through relay-based true bypass switching that defaults to bypass on power loss. The response stays open and dynamic with a bright, chiming top end that never turns brittle and a low end that stays tight even at higher gain, responding strongly to picking dynamics. It suits players wanting a Bluesbreaker-family overdrive with more gain, clarity, and articulation than the classic circuit typically offers.
The Fulltone Fulldrive 2 MOSFET is a long-standing industry-standard overdrive and boost that became a best-selling stompbox, voiced to sit between a TS9 and an SD-1 with more clarity and gain range. A MOSFET switch adds a smoother, more tube-like response with extra low end and roundness, while a three-mode toggle offers Comp Cut, FM, and Vintage voicings ranging from clean boost to medium overdrive. FM mode delivers more gain with a natural, punchy, tight breakup, while Vintage mode is warmer and heavier on the mids. A separate boost section can push the drive or an amp harder. The tone control works well across its range, adding usable brilliance or softening the edges. Versatile and dynamic, it suits blues, classic rock, and country players who want a flexible, amp-like drive with several distinct flavors in one box.
