Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.40% — somewhat different

The ENGL Ironball E600 is a 20-watt all-tube guitar amplifier head from ENGL Amplification, Germany, in the compact lunchbox format. Two channels — Clean and Lead — deliver the ENGL professional high-gain character in a highly portable head chassis. A switchable power attenuator allows 20W, 5W, and 1W operation for cranked tube tones at reduced volumes. The Ironball is widely used as a compact professional alternative to full-size ENGL heads for recording, studio work, and low-volume stage applications.
The Fryette GPDI IR is a guitar-to-PA direct interface from Fryette Amplification combining a reactive speaker load box, power attenuator, and DI output with integrated impulse response loading for speaker cabinet simulation. The GPDI IR allows a guitar amplifier head to perform silently or at reduced volume, capturing the amplified signal directly to a recording or PA system with the tonal character of a real speaker cabinet replicated through the built-in IR engine. It enables direct recording and silent stage performance with full amplifier character without a physical speaker cabinet.
