Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.48% — somewhat different

The ESP Wavecaster is built with a lucite acrylic body rather than wood, giving it a translucent, colour-tinted appearance that changes under stage lighting in a way a conventional wood-bodied guitar cannot. Lucite bodies were a novelty format used by several makers from the 1970s onward, valued more for visual impact than tonal properties, since acrylic behaves differently from wood acoustically. It is associated in this catalogue with Kirk Hammett, who has collected a wide range of unusual and vintage instruments alongside his ESP signature guitars.
The Yamaha Pacifica 1421 sits at the top of the original Pacifica line developed by Rich Lasner, and is nothing like the entry-level models the name later came to mean. It is neck-through — a maple neck running the length of a basswood body with a maple top — in an HSH layout pairing two DHB1 humbuckers with a DSNB single-coil. Fewer than 250 were built, making it the rarest Pacifica.
