Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Description

The Free The Tone Overdriveland ODL-1A-CS is a custom shop dual overdrive pedal modeled on the sound of a late-model Dumble Overdrive Special amplifier, developed by founder Yuki Hayashi after over 20 years of experience maintaining and repairing Dumble amps and more than three years and roughly ten prototypes of development. It features independent Normal and Drive channel level controls, a ROCK/JAZZ switch altering the Normal channel's gain and frequency character, a GLASS switch that bypasses the Tone circuit for a glassy sound, and runs at an internal 19V for extensive headroom and fast response, with a variable voltage trim option.

The Rowin LEF-315 Dumbler Amp Sim is a compact overdrive pedal designed to emulate the smooth, dynamic tonal character of the legendary (and notoriously scarce and expensive) Dumble amplifier, offering a budget-accessible route to that highly sought-after "Dumble tone." Part of Rowin's LEF-300 series of affordable, small-format pedals, it targets players wanting Dumble-inspired warmth and touch sensitivity without the enormous cost of an original or boutique clone.
