Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Fulltone Fulldrive 2 MOSFET is a long-standing industry-standard overdrive and boost that became a best-selling stompbox, voiced to sit between a TS9 and an SD-1 with more clarity and gain range. A MOSFET switch adds a smoother, more tube-like response with extra low end and roundness, while a three-mode toggle offers Comp Cut, FM, and Vintage voicings ranging from clean boost to medium overdrive. FM mode delivers more gain with a natural, punchy, tight breakup, while Vintage mode is warmer and heavier on the mids. A separate boost section can push the drive or an amp harder. The tone control works well across its range, adding usable brilliance or softening the edges. Versatile and dynamic, it suits blues, classic rock, and country players who want a flexible, amp-like drive with several distinct flavors in one box.

The Revv G2 is a preamp, overdrive and distortion pedal reproducing the Green channel of Revv's Generator amplifiers, with the widest gain and EQ range in the company's pedal line. A three-way switch gives three distinct voices: Off is a full-range clean boost with the three-band EQ still active; Blue is the Green channel's signature touch-responsive breakup; and Red delivers a more authentic, amp-like saturated gain feel. On its own it is open, woody and chewy, with the dynamic response of a cranked tube amp rather than a compressed pedal distortion, which has made it a favourite of Nashville session players for its clarity and dynamics. It works equally as a classic crunch box, a boost to push a tube amp into sweet saturation, or an always-on drive, covering both rhythm and lead duty. This is the Gold finish edition of the same circuit.
