The Gretsch G6120DE Duane Eddy Signature Hollow Body, introduced in 2011, recreates Duane Eddy's original 1957 G6120 with twin DynaSonic single-coil pickups, a Tru-Arc rocking bar bridge, trestle bracing, and a neck and headstock profile copied directly from his personal guitar, along with a Bigsby B6C vibrato bearing Eddy's signature DE handle. Ritchie Blackmore owns one himself, a genuinely personal gift rather than a purchase: Duane Eddy, whom Blackmore idolized as a child and would go see play as an eleven, twelve, and thirteen year old, gave it to him directly, a gesture Blackmore has spoken about with visible emotion given how much Eddy's playing shaped his earliest musical influences.
