Citation/mention fame — how often this gear is cited across artist rigs and gear discussion. The Horizon Devices Flux Echo is a combined reverb and delay pedal from Misha Mansoor's company, designed to add ambience and rhythmic echo to metal and modern rock rigs. It pairs lush reverbs with flexible delays in one box, suited to ambient leads, atmospheric passages and clean textures within a high-gain context.
The TC Electronic Alter Ego V2 Vintage Echo emulates 11 classic echo and delay units in one pedal, spanning warm, tape-like repeats modeled on the Echoplex and Deluxe Memory Man, crunchy, degraded decay modeled on the Maestro Copykat, and swirling, detuned, modulated ambience modeled on the Binson Echorec and an echo-flanger hybrid, alongside classic units like the Boss DM-2. Each emulation carries its own distinct color and character rather than a single generic delay voice, and a built-in looper and tap-tempo-by-strumming feature add practical live functionality. It suits players wanting a wide palette of authentic vintage echo textures, from warm tape warble to swirling drum-echo modulation, in one compact pedal.
