Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.46% — somewhat different

Citation/mention fame — how often this gear is cited across artist rigs and gear discussion. The Hot Box Pedals Tremolous is an optical tremolo pedal from Canadian boutique manufacturer Hot Box Pedals, using an LDR-based optical circuit for smooth, natural amplitude modulation rather than a harder-edged digital or LFO-square-wave chop. Simple Rate and Depth controls cover the essential tremolo range from gentle pulse to more pronounced throb. It suits players wanting straightforward, musically smooth optical tremolo in a boutique Canadian-built pedal rather than a multi-waveform, feature-dense modulation unit.
The Source Audio Vertigo is a tremolo and vibrato pedal from Source Audio (Boston, Massachusetts), delivering multiple tremolo and vibrato voicings including harmonic, optical, bias, and rotary speaker modes with MIDI control and Neuro app programmability. The Vertigo provides the widest tremolo and vibrato palette from Source Audio for players who need comprehensive modulation with full preset recall.
