The Ibanez PTPRE is a preamp pedal from Ibanez, designed to provide preamp-level signal conditioning and drive before a power amplifier or mixing desk. Ibanez has produced various preamp designs in their Power Tube and Tone Lok series over the years, and the PTPRE delivers a preamp saturation character suited to players who need a standalone preamp stage for direct recording or as a front-end signal conditioner before a clean power amplifier. The preamp format provides tone-shaping and drive capability without requiring a full guitar amplifier.
The Mooer Micro Preamp 001 Gas Station is a two-channel digital preamp pedal voiced after the Diezel Hagen, the German four-channel head known for tight, articulate high gain with an unusually controlled low end. Both channels carry their own three-band EQ, and the pedal runs into a power amp, a return jack, or straight to a desk via cab sim.
