Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.32% — somewhat different

Citation/mention fame — how often this gear is cited across artist rigs and gear discussion. The Ibanez TS808HW is a hand-wired version of the original TS-808 Tube Screamer circuit, built using point-to-point wiring on a turret board with premium components rather than printed circuit board construction. Hand-wiring on premium components provides a more direct and lower-resistance signal path and allows individual component selection for premium performance. The TS808HW delivers the same fundamental mid-forward, compressed overdrive of the standard TS-808 with the enhanced character that premium hand-wired construction contributes.
The J. Rockett The Dude V2 spans transparent clean boost through to high gain in a single pedal while staying notably responsive to pick attack, which is the characteristic owners cite most. That range makes it a one-pedal drive solution rather than a fixed-character overdrive, with the playing dynamics rather than a channel switch determining where in the range it sits. The V2 is the revised version of the original Dude. It suits players who want one drive covering boost through saturation and who work from their picking hand.
