Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The J. Rockett Aqueous is a reverb pedal from US boutique manufacturer J. Rockett Audio Designs (Nashville, Tennessee), delivering multiple reverb modes including spring, room, hall, and shimmer with full reverb parameter control for studio-quality reverb in a pedalboard format. The Aqueous provides smooth, natural reverb character at J. Rockett boutique quality with optional modulation and a Shimmer mode for ethereal harmonic reverb.

The Laney Black Country Customs Secret Path is a hand-built British reverb pedal with three voices: a bright, springy Spring reverb, a smooth Plate reverb, and the Secret Path mode, a dark, brooding reverb suited to ambient and deep atmospheric soundscapes. Mix, tone, pre-delay and size controls shape each voice. Holding the footswitch engages an enhanced mode that adds modulation to the Plate and Spring settings and an ethereal shimmer to the Secret Path voice. Stereo outputs widen the sense of space and the pedal accepts an expression pedal. Ultra-quiet switching and a tri-colour mode indicator suit dark stages.
