It produces a cascading, dancing series of stereo repeats held together with tape-style modulation, saturation, and compression, creating a lush, reverb-like diffusion that stays out of the way of the dry guitar. The signature sound comes from modulated delays subtly drifting in time across the stereo field while leaving the initial note uneffected. Two independent sides, A and B, switchable on the fly, give players two delays in one, covering slapback, stereo chorus, saturated tape echo, and clean digital repeats. A memory bank stores up to eight presets for instant recall.
The Pigtronix Phi Echolution is a deep dual-delay pedal that pairs the warm tone of analog delay with functionality usually reserved for digital units. It effectively houses two delays in one: a modulation delay on one side and a tap-tempo delay on the other, which can be tweaked and blended to create layered echoes.
