The flanger draws on the MicMix DynaFlanger that Frank Zappa used for envelope-based flanging in his solos, and the pedal packs a deep eight-stage phaser for liquid, swirling tones. Depth and Sensitivity controls dial in the response. It excels for funk, where the envelope filter makes notes pop, and for expressive lead textures, delivering one of the better-regarded envelope filters in a compact, versatile enclosure.
The Pigtronix Moon Pool is a Tremvelope Phaser mini pedal combining an analog 4-stage VCA-based phaser with a variable-bias tremolo, each with independent rate controls and the ability to run standalone or combined in series. A global Depth knob sets overall wetness, a Sensitivity knob adjusts how responsive the rate changes are to playing dynamics, and dual toggles enable fast-to-slow or slow-to-fast dynamic rate control alongside an envelope sensitivity knob that regulates how picking intensity affects the effect's rate.
