Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Lace NUX Lacerate Mini is a high-gain distortion pedal from the Lace and NUX collaboration, delivering tight, aggressive distortion character suited to modern rock and metal in a compact enclosure. NUX is a Chinese effects manufacturer known for producing effective, affordable effects at accessible price points, and the Lacerate Mini brings high-gain distortion in a space-efficient format.

The NUX Metal Core Deluxe is an analog high-gain distortion pedal built with a built-in noise gate, 2-band EQ, and NUX's Tone Lock feature, offering two selectable high-gain voicing modes for aggressive metal and hard rock tones. As the original version predating the MKII, it uses a straightforward analog gain circuit rather than the MKII's later DSP-based amp modeling and IR loading, positioned as a compact, affordable dedicated metal distortion pedal.
