Where the smaller Ironhearts are all-valve designs in the 30 to 60 watt bracket, the SLS pairs the Ironheart preamp voicing with a much larger power section for players who need substantial stage volume and headroom. Its three channels cover clean, rhythm and lead, spanning clean tones through to the saturated high gain the range is built around. Laney has produced amplifiers in Birmingham since 1967, and the Ironheart line is its modern metal-oriented series. It suits metal and hard rock players working at significant stage volume.
