citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Description

The Lovepedal Babyface Tremolo is a compact tremolo pedal from US boutique manufacturer Lovepedal (Colorado), delivering smooth, musical tremolo in a compact enclosure at Lovepedal boutique quality. The Babyface provides classic amplitude modulation tremolo for vintage rock, country, and classic guitar applications.

The ZVEX Sonar is a square-wave tremolo designed by Joel Korte, extending conventional tremolo with a very tight gating design. Rather than the smooth, rounded amplitude sweep of a vintage tremolo, it chops the signal hard between full volume and silence, producing a stuttering, rhythmic, percussive effect with sharply defined edges. The precision of the gating keeps the chop clean at fast rates where softer tremolos blur, suiting rhythmic and experimental playing where the tremolo functions as a sequencer more than an ambience.
