The 003 carries both voices: a clean side that stays glassy and open with a clear top end, and a gain side that is dense and saturated with firm low end and smooth, compressed sustain rather than a fizzy modern edge. Two-channel switching, a three-band EQ and a cabinet-simulated output let it run into a power amp, an effects return or straight to a desk. Housed in Mooer's micro enclosure, it gives players high-gain amp character and clean headroom in a very small pedalboard footprint.

The Mooer Micro Preamp 005 Brown Sound 3 models the EVH 5150 III, Eddie Van Halen's third-generation signature head, targeting its saturated, harmonically dense lead voice with a tight low end. Originally sold as the Fifty-Fifty 3 before Mooer renamed the model.
