The MXR Poly Blue Octave is a polyphonic octave pedal combining pitch-shifting with fuzz and modulation, expanding on MXR's classic Blue Box with four independently controllable octave voices: one and two octaves down, and one and two octaves up. Each octave voice is polyphonic by default, tracking full chords cleanly rather than only single notes, and each can be blended to taste in the mix. Beyond octave shifting, it adds phase modulation and an independent fuzz stage that operates separately from the octave and modulation effects, plus expression pedal control for real-time sweeping. Tracking is described as exceptional in both polyphonic and mono modes.

The Pigtronix Octava is an all-analog octave fuzz and frequency doubler featuring an onboard low-pass Filter control that lets players achieve singing octave-up tones anywhere on the neck without needing to adjust their guitar's tone control. Controls include Volume, Blend (mixing in the octave-up effect), Filter (low-pass cutoff for the octave circuit), Drive (adding warm J-FET preamp overdrive), and Fuzz (activating the fuzz circuit), letting players layer clean octave-up shimmer through to devastating, full-wave-rectified shoegaze fuzz distortion from one pedal.
