Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.60% — moderately similar

The One Control Golden Acorn Overdrive Special is a BJFe-designed overdrive pedal from One Control, delivering warm, golden-voiced overdrive with Björn Juhl's characteristic harmonic refinement in a precision compact Japanese enclosure. The Golden Acorn is one of One Control's most celebrated overdrive designs for its exceptional warmth and musicality.
The One Control Super Apricot OD is part of the BJF series of Björn Juhl designs, the Swedish builder whose BJFE workshop is known for refined hand-built drive pedals brought to production by One Control in miniature enclosures. The series spans Tube Screamer-derived overdrives, midrange boosters and amp-in-a-box designs, each voiced distinctly rather than as variations on one circuit. Independent coverage of this specific model is limited, so this description does not assert circuit specifics that sources do not establish.
