The Rainger FX Pull Focus Fuzz is a boutique fuzz pedal from Rainger FX delivering unique, experimental fuzz character with a distinctive focus or gate-controlled fuzz effect in a hand-built enclosure. Rainger FX is known for creative, experimental circuit approaches.
The ZVEX Fuzz Probe is the Fuzz Factory circuit fitted with a theremin-style copper antenna plate, letting the player sweep one of its controls hands-free by moving a foot across the pedal's surface. The underlying Fuzz Factory is a germanium fuzz famed for being unstable by design: alongside conventional Volume and Drive it carries Gate, Comp and Stab controls that set the noise gate, starve the circuit's compression and destabilise the bias, producing everything from thick vintage sustain to gated, sputtering, dying-battery splatter and self-oscillating squeals and whistles. The Probe maps that behaviour to the proximity sensor, so oscillation pitch and fuzz character can be bent and swooped in real time.
