Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.44% — somewhat different

The Revv G2 is a preamp, overdrive and distortion pedal reproducing the Green channel of Revv's Generator amplifiers, with the widest gain and EQ range in the company's pedal line. A three-way switch gives three distinct voices: Off is a full-range clean boost with the three-band EQ still active; Blue is the Green channel's signature touch-responsive breakup; and Red delivers a more authentic, amp-like saturated gain feel. On its own it is open, woody and chewy, with the dynamic response of a cranked tube amp rather than a compressed pedal distortion, which has made it a favourite of Nashville session players for its clarity and dynamics. It works equally as a classic crunch box, a boost to push a tube amp into sweet saturation, or an always-on drive, covering both rhythm and lead duty. The V2 refines the original circuit.
The Tone City Sweet Cream v2025 is the 2025 revision of Tone City's transparent overdrive, based on the Mad Professor Sweet Honey Overdrive rather than the Klon circuit it is often mislabelled as, and landing close to Bluesbreaker territory in use. The voice is smooth and creamy, enhancing the amp tone already present rather than recolouring it, with an amp-like dynamic response and enough headroom that it never buries the signal in distortion. This revision adds a Tone knob for brightness and a toggle selecting between two clipping modes for a softer or firmer feel. It works best as a low- to mid-gain always-on drive or a light push into an amp already breaking up, cleaning up readily with the guitar's volume.
