Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Spaceman Effects Atlas IV is a boutique preamp and boost pedal, the fourth revision of Spaceman's Atlas design. It delivers a warm, harmonically rich clean boost that thickens the midrange and adds weight without markedly altering the underlying tone, and pushes a valve amp into natural breakup as the level is raised. It is built as an always-on preamp stage as much as a solo boost, hand-built in Portland, Oregon in Spaceman's limited-run format.

The Suhr Koko Boost (Black Edition) is a dual-function boost pedal combining a clean transparent boost (0dB to +20dB via the Boost knob) with a selectable midrange boost shaped by a Mid knob and a 3-position frequency switch offering three distinct midrange voicings. It uses relay-based true bypass switching and runs on 9V DC power or a 9V battery, giving players both a straightforward clean volume boost and a more surgical midrange push for cutting through a mix, in a black-finished enclosure.
