The TremCoder 2 makes tremolo rhythmically programmable for players who want sequenced, syncopated tremolo effects.
The ZVEX Sonar is a square-wave tremolo designed by Joel Korte, extending conventional tremolo with a very tight gating design. Rather than the smooth, rounded amplitude sweep of a vintage tremolo, it chops the signal hard between full volume and silence, producing a stuttering, rhythmic, percussive effect with sharply defined edges. The precision of the gating keeps the chop clean at fast rates where softer tremolos blur, suiting rhythmic and experimental playing where the tremolo functions as a sequencer more than an ambience.
