EVH Rasta Frankenstein
Evh · electric guitar
Eddie Van Halens Rasta guitar began life as the Unchained guitar, built for the 1981 Fair Warning tour and named for the drop-D-tuned song it was used to play, originally finished in the same black-and-white circles pattern as his best-known instruments. During that same tour Van Halen repainted it himself in the red, yellow, green and black of the Jamaican flag, giving it the Rasta nickname it has carried since. It gained wider public attention after appearing in a 1982 issue of LIFE Magazine. Van Halen later gave the guitar to Dweezil Zappa, who still owns it.
