DOD Electronics Meatbox
Dod · pedal
The DOD Meatbox is a legendary sub-octave and sub-bass synthesizer pedal from DOD Electronics, originally produced in the 1990s and highly sought after for its ability to add extreme sub-bass frequency content to any guitar or bass signal. The circuit generates a sub-octave signal well below the guitar frequency range, adding subsonic bass content that can be felt as much as heard. Famously powerful and potentially damaging to speakers not rated for the extreme sub-bass frequencies it generates. Associated with experimental, industrial, and extreme bass augmentation applications. Reissued by DOD in more recent years due to strong demand.
