Dumble Overdrive Reverb
Dumble · amplifier
The Dumble Overdrive Reverb is an Overdrive Special amplifier with an added internal reverb circuit, one of the rarest and most revered boutique amps ever built. Hand-built by Howard Dumble, it is famed for huge, open, almost hi-fi cleans with warm bass and sparkling top, and a smooth, violin-like overdrive channel that is creamy, blooming, touch-sensitive, and harmonically rich. The Dumble voice is its own category, unlike Marshall grind, Vox chime, or Fender spring, and is often said to make players sound more like themselves. Hugely dynamic and responsive, it is associated with Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, John Mayer, and Carlos Santana. Extreme rarity and price make originals legendary collector instruments.
