Dunlop · pedal
The MXR M267 Octavio Fuzz is a reissue of the Roger Mayer-designed Octavio octave fuzz pedal originally used by Jimi Hendrix, generating upper octave harmonics combined with fuzz saturation for the distinctive octave fuzz tones heard on Hendrix recordings including Crosstown Traffic and Purple Haze. The circuit uses a transformer to generate the octave-up harmonic overtone above the fuzz-saturated guitar signal. True bypass.
