The Effects Bakery Maritozzo Bass EQ is a miniature five-band graphic equaliser built for bass, from the Japanese mini-pedal maker Effects Bakery. Sliders at 62.5Hz, 125Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz and 4kHz each cut or boost up to 18dB, with centre detents for a quick return to flat, giving precise control over sub weight, low-mid body, midrange honk and string clarity. Separate VOL and MASTER controls set the level running through the EQ stage and the final output, so heavy boosts can be tamed without upsetting gain structure. It lets players scoop the mids for a modern, hi-fi slap voice, push the low mids for a fat, thick fingerstyle tone, or lift the top end for pick attack and definition, all in a very small pedalboard footprint.
