Gamechanger Audio Plasma Pedal
Gamechanger Audio · pedal
The Gamechanger Audio Plasma Pedal is a revolutionary distortion pedal from Latvian boutique manufacturer Gamechanger Audio, using a xenon gas tube and high-voltage electrical discharge to distort audio in a fundamentally different way from any conventional transistor or tube clipping circuit. The guitar signal is converted to high-voltage pulses that trigger visible electrical discharges in the xenon tube, and the resulting discharge signal is converted back to audio frequency. Guitar World, Premier Guitar, and Sweetwater all reviewed the Plasma as delivering a genuinely unique, complex harmonic distortion character unlike any conventional fuzz or distortion, producing visible plasma arcing in the tube during operation.
