The Grammer Johnny Cash Model is a Grammer acoustic guitar.

Grammer Johnny Cash Model

Grammer · acoustic guitar

The Grammer G50 Johnny Cash Signature Model was built in Nashville in the 1960s with a Sitka spruce top, maple back and sides, a maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard, its headstock engraved with both the Grammer logo and Johnny Cash's name, and fewer than 100 were ever produced. Blues guitarist and prolific collector Joe Bonamassa owns a 1969 example, which he has called the rarest guitar in his entire collection, acquired from Rumbleseat Music before the shop's owner had even had a chance to see it himself. Bonamassa played it prominently on his Driving Towards the Daylight album and in his An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House performance, giving this specific Country-era signature model real modern recorded history well outside its original Johnny Cash association.
