Line 6 Crunchtone Overdrive
Line 6 · pedal
The Line 6 Crunchtone is an overdrive module for the ToneCore series, using Line 6's digital modelling to reproduce three distinct drive voices: Blues, Pop and Crunch. The Blues and Crunch models are the strongest, giving warm, full-bodied breakup that works well for blues and classic rock rhythm, and the Crunch model adds built-in compression for a tighter, more even feel. Controls cover Level, Bass, Treble and Drive, with a mode switch for the model and a two-stage noise gate offering a soft setting and a hard, aggressively gating one. As a ToneCore unit it snaps into a ToneDock base so effects can be swapped without rewiring the pedalboard. Reviews are mixed: versatile and good value, but players chasing genuine tube-overdrive feel generally find it falls short of an analogue circuit.
