The M-Audio EX-P is a general-purpose expression pedal built to control continuous parameters on gear with an expression input, such as synthesizer keyboards, audio interfaces, and MIDI-equipped pedals, rather than functioning as a guitar effect in its own right. It uses a simple potentiometer-based sweep to send a variable control signal, letting a player adjust volume, modulation depth, or another assignable parameter in real time with a foot rather than a hand.
