The Martin 0-15 is an all-mahogany parlour guitar — top, back and sides — in Martin's smallest common body size, finished satin rather than gloss. The mahogany top gives a drier, more compressed voice with strong fundamental and comparatively little overtone bloom, which is why the 15-series became a favourite for blues fingerpicking and close-microphone recording rather than for flatpicked volume.
