The RJM Music Technology Mastermind is a programmable MIDI foot controller designed for professional live guitar rigs requiring complex switching, routing, and multi-device control. It supports up to 16 MIDI devices simultaneously, stores hundreds of presets and setlists, and features LCD displays above each button showing the assigned function. Expression pedal and external switch inputs extend its control surface without adding separate boxes. USB connectivity enables computer-based editing and firmware updates. In Malmsteen's rig it manages stereo signal splitting, amp channel switching, and effects loop routing across his multi-head setup.
