The Browne Amplification Gritador is a reworked Tube Screamer-style overdrive from Kansas City-based Browne Amplification, delivering a more balanced midrange and a more robust low end than the standard TS808 voicing, along with asymmetrical clipping for a lively, vocal character. The Gritador represents the higher-gain channel of the Protein dual overdrive as a standalone pedal. Suited for blues, country, and rock applications where the TS-style midrange focus is wanted but the standard bass rolloff of the original Tube Screamer is a limitation.
