The Character control moves backwards through the Fender timeline: fully anticlockwise gives the scooped midrange and glassy, sparkling cleans of the Blackface and Silverface era; midway lands on the Blonde and Brown-panel voices; and fully clockwise arrives at the midrange-forward honk and grind of a Tweed.
