Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.49% — somewhat different

The Dr. Green Life Support is a compressor and sustainer pedal from the Dr. Green FX line by Ashdown Engineering, the UK bass amp and effects brand. Based on a tried-and-tested compressor circuit derived from Ashdown bass amplifiers, the Life Support provides input level, output level, and sustain controls for compression and sustain shaping. The pedal is noted for its impressive sustain capability while retaining musical character, suited to bass and guitar signal chains where dynamic control and extended sustain are the objectives.
The Rocktron Reaction Compressor is part of the company's Reaction series, a line of straightforward analogue effect pedals built to cover standard functions at accessible prices. As a compressor its job is evening out dynamics and adding sustain. Rocktron built its reputation on rack processors and the HUSH noise reduction system before moving into compact pedals. Independent review coverage of this specific pedal is limited, so this description does not assert control layout or circuit specifics that sources do not establish.
