Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. The ENGL Ravager IR (E725) is a 20-watt 2-channel all-tube lunchbox guitar amp head from ENGL Amplification with built-in IR loader, integrated power soak (20W/5W/1W/silent), and XLR output for direct recording. EL84 power tubes provide vintage-influenced harmonic character. Two channels — Clean and Lead — deliver ENGL precision across pristine clean to aggressive overdrive. The built-in IR loader supports four cab simulations, three loadable via USB, making it a complete direct recording and practice solution.
The Revv Generator G25 is a compact, 20-watt two-channel tube amp head, effectively an update to Revv's earlier G20 with added headroom and modern refinements. It runs a pair of 6V6 power tubes and a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes through oversized transformers, voiced around Revv's high-gain Purple Channel character. Built-in reactive load and impulse response technology, powered by Two Notes Audio Engineering, lets the amp be operated safely without a physical speaker cabinet connected, useful for silent recording or direct-to-interface use. It sits between the smaller G20 and the larger, EL34-driven G50 in Revv's Generator lineup.
