Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.46% — somewhat different

Citation/mention fame — how often this gear is cited across artist rigs and gear discussion.UK luthier John Diggins, working under the Jaydee name, built the original Donnington SG for Angus Young in 1981 and presented it to him backstage just before AC/DC's performance at the Monsters of Rock festival at Castle Donington, a guitar Young took straight from that gift onto the stage the same night. Built with a mahogany body and neck, lightning-flash fingerboard inlays, white binding on the neck and headstock, gold-plated hardware, and two Jaydee Hooligan humbuckers, it became one of the most visually striking guitars in Young's collection, distinct from his more commonly seen Gibson SGs. Jaydee later reintroduced a production replica of the model in 2015 after dropping their standard Angus Young SG from the catalog, keeping the Donnington name and design available to fans who wanted a piece of that specific 1981 moment.
The Randy Rhoads Custom Jackson V Prototype II is the second prototype in the development of Randy Rhoads' iconic offset-V "Concorde" guitar, built by Grover Jackson as a refinement of the original first prototype. It represents a further-evolved stage in the design process that would ultimately become the production Jackson Rhoads model, one of the most influential guitar shapes in metal history.
