Crazy Tube Circuits Sidekick Jr
Crazy Tube Circuits · pedal
The Crazy Tube Circuits Sidekick Jr is a compact modulation, delay and reverb combo pedal from the Greek builder, successor to the 2019 Sidekick with more DSP power and double the algorithms in a smaller enclosure. It carries six reverb types, two delays and three modulation algorithms explicitly modelled on Boss's 1980s benchmarks -- an Ensemble mode for warm, lush chorus, a Dimension mode for subtle stereo-style widening and shimmer, and a flanger for sweeping, metallic jet-plane movement. The reverbs and delays are quiet and high quality, staying analogue-flavoured and never sounding digital unless intended. There are no menu screens: each section has its own straightforward controls. Well suited to players wanting an all-in-one '80s-voiced ambient and modulation section without the cost or board space of three separate pedals.
