The Fender Custom Shop Jimmy Page Dragon Telecaster recreates the 1959 Telecaster Jeff Beck gave Page in 1966, which Page decorated with circular mirrors in 1967 before stripping the finish and hand-painting a mystical dragon across the body, playing it on much of Led Zeppelin's debut album and the solo on Stairway to Heaven. Built by Custom Shop master builder Paul Waller over an eight-month collaboration with Page and approved by him personally, the reissue features an off-center-seam two-piece ash body, Custom Shop hand-wound '58-spec single coils, a tinted maple oval-C neck, a top-load '59 bridge, and a 7.25-inch fingerboard radius with 21 vintage-sized frets, matching the original down to its era-correct specs. Released in a run of only 50 with hand-signed headstocks, it stands as one of the most historically loaded Telecaster reissues Fender has ever produced.
