The Magneto Sonnet RawDawg III is Eric Gales' signature electric, a Stratocaster-inspired guitar with a basswood body, roasted maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and a right-handed Gotoh tremolo and tuners that Gales, a left-handed player who strings upside down, flips to suit his style. It carries Magneto Metro-Poles EG1 single-coils, with Gales nicknaming the neck the Albert King pickup and the neck-and-middle blend his Stevie Ray setting. The result is a vocal, expressive single-coil voice with classic Strat snap, warmth and quack tailored to fiery blues-rock lead and rhythm. It pairs naturally with clean, loud amps that let its dynamics and touch sensitivity shine.
