Two of the oscillators sit in unison but slightly out of phase, giving a chorused, beating thickness, while the third tunes independently to set intervallic harmony or deliberate dissonance. The drones mix in underneath the clean guitar, which passes through buffered and unaffected, so the pedal adds a sustained synth-bass foundation rather than processing the guitar tone itself. It ships with the Igor external soft pedal, which drops the pitch by a whole or half step while held and springs back on release, letting drones follow chord changes or oscillate between two pitches for synth bass lines.
