The Wren and Cuff Eye See '78 OG is an authentic recreation of the 1978-era V4 op-amp Big Muff circuit, the version that replaced the original's transistors with op-amp ICs for a drastically different character. Compared to sweeter earlier Muffs, it is crunchier, more ballsy, and more ferocious, with a growling, sledgehammer fuzz and a buzzy, woolly midrange popularized by Billy Corgan's Siamese Dream-era tone. A tone bypass switch removes the tone control from the circuit for a significantly more open, raw sound with a pronounced midrange hump.
