Ibanez WH10V3
Ibanez · pedal
The Ibanez WH10 V3 is the modern reissue of the cult 1980s WH10 wah, the pedal John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers has called his standard wah since BloodSugarSexMagik. Its multiple-feedback op-amp circuit produces a creamy, vocal, wooly filter sweep that is darker and more musical than a typical inductor wah, and it interacts especially well with overdrive, distortion and fuzz. The V3 resurrects that original op-amp for smooth, even gain across the sweep while adding switchable true bypass and a rugged die-cast housing in place of the original fragile plastic shell. It works on guitar and bass and excels at expressive funk, alt-rock and lead phrasing.
