JayDee "Old Boy" SG

Jaydee · electric guitar

The Jaydee Old Boy SG is a legendary custom guitar handcrafted for Tony Iommi by John Diggins between 1975 and 1978 in Birmingham, England. The instrument features a one-piece mahogany body and neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard adorned with polished aluminum crucifix inlays and a zero fret with carbon graphite nut. The guitar is equipped with two custom hand-wound Jaydee pickups delivering absolutely massive, huge, articulate, full and crisp tone. The five control knobs and pickup selector switch provide flexible tonal control, though only three knobs are active with the bridge tone disconnected. Sperzel locking tuners and Schaller combination bridge ensure tuning stability and responsive feel.
