The Tone City Flexo Drive (TC-T36) pairs an independent overdrive and a clean boost in one enclosure, each on its own footswitch, and allows the order of the two circuits to be reversed for different stacking behaviour. The overdrive has three selectable modes: Vintage is a warm 1990s-flavoured drive with wide, rich mids and a distinctly retro character, though not the mode for clean articulation; Open brings op-amp clipping at higher gain with more clean boost mixed in; and Wide gives a rough, asymmetric, open-sounding overdrive. The boost side is a simple single-knob clean volume lift, which also changes how the drive responds when the two are stacked. Praised for versatility and value across classic rock, blues and surf. Requires a regulated 9V DC supply and will not run on a battery.
